Every few picturs you get taken back to the farm. Here we have the the final unloading of the 2005 harvest. We started with 320 acres to go at 12:15 pm and 6 hrs later the soybean harvest was over. To bad that 3 trucks could keep up. Try again next year. Posted by Picasa

HI Frank this was one of those few pictures we got of you that was not blurred. You will need to learn to sit still as you get to middle age. I still think you and Karla should have been able to move a double bed. Thanks for all the pictures and the emails. We may see you in San Marcos some early spring afternoon. take care Posted by Picasa

Here we have Abe thinking about how much more fun this job is than flying those airplanes. Oh yea, remember that hemi on take off. Never full throttle if loaded. It was a good two weeks. O right, it's also better to haul water in small trucks. Posted by Picasa

This blog moves back in forth in the History of the Eidse family so this is back in the Bayou.
Here is Karla so intent on cleaning the windows she must have forgot to take of the her mask. Great job Karla. This could have changed an outlook on life. There is a real world out there. Posted by Picasa

A warm sunny coffee break over at Shirleys house. The young man on the left is Frank. Me in the middle and Karla sitting prim and proper. I posted this shot from the many shots that were taken due to fact the two on either side of me are holding still. It was special to be teamed up with these two, and Ron as well, not seen, taking the picture. Good memories. Franks plan to leave a time capsule at the house he wants to come back and see in 20yrs was cute. He will be 101 that year. Thanks for the talks Karla and those clean windows. That transformation could make a great object lesson. Posted by Picasa

This cool early morning shot in the Bayou is a good reminder of the work and the fellowship we enjoyed in the middle week of November 2005. The sorting of the tools for the different job sites. In the picture we have from left to right, Mike/Fred/Kerry/Abe with his hands up/Steve/ and Ron. Taking the picture was Jim. Also seen are the shortbox with the hemi/watertower/tool trailer/ and the trailer Jo and me got to sleep in the second week. This was a cool morning/not the normal warm muggy weather we had most of the time. Posted by Picasa

How you like to have a roof like this. Sherman said we were angels from heaven so the cross on the roof was installed so he would remember. He got the first roof job of this project, and all his shingles were mixed from the (warmups) at Lowes. I believe his total cost for them was under $50 dollars brand new both sides. Posted by Picasa
