last week
Last weeks crew. 15 Old Order men from Wisconsin, 2 from Ontario, and the regular long term crew, except for Kerry.
Why doesn't my remote work? Thought we had it all set up after some practise yesterday, but doesn't have much distance so Kerry didn't get on the group picture, but it seems to work close up :-)
This group of volunteers worked hard, played hard and ate LOTS! The cooks were really challenged to make enough food this week. Friday we finished off with 4 -28" pizzas. The look on these boys faces was quite something when they saw the huge pizzas, but that didn't stop them from digging in and consuming most of it, and then enjoying large bowls full of ice cream and cookies.
It was warm on the deck and great for our lunch outside. Afterwards there was a quick game of volleyball, some vehicle washing and maintenance, bunk room and bathroom clean up and then we piled everyone into the van and 3 half tons and headed to San Diego. The short term crew had a hotel booked for the night, and the long term crew went out for our weekly supper, and to bid farewell to our construction foreman, Ernie and wife Erna. They were great to have on board and we will miss having Ernie on the job, giving guidance on the jobsites and being our quality control guy.

Those pizza's are huge and eating them on the porch sure looks inviting! Miss you guys - glad that Graham gets to spend some time with you though. Norah really liked the picture of dad :)
