Harvest is a busy time and most of the meals are eaten on the go. This day we actually had time to enjoy a break and a picnic beside the field. Luckily the road we put our picnic blanket down on doesn't see much traffic. Right now we are in a holding pattern, the barley, wheat , oats and canola are harvested and in the bin and we are waiting for the soybeans . It gives us time to get to some of the other jobs like cultivating and doing scraper work, repairs, hauling grain to the elevator and such.
Hailey has finally mastered the art of riding her tricycle on her own without those little pushes from behind , but as you can see, it takes a lot of concentration.

Jayda is growing and happy and readily shares her smiles with us and grandpa loves it. She is getting very eager to start playing and gets all excited when we put some brightly colored toys or storybooks in front of her. It won't be long till she is sitting and playing and I can read books to her too.
Good thing Grammy Jo has a lap that is big enough for both of her grand-daughters.

Hailey had a good little laugh at her tounge sticking out in that one picture :) You are such a good Grammy...there is a reason Hailey begs to go to your house every.single.morning!!
Even though Amber blogs & we get to see pictures of the girls, it's always nice to see your pictures & get your perspective on things as a grandma! They are very precious & you are a wonderful Grammy!
