We have left the country again....this time for service in West Liberty, Kentucky with Mennonite Disaster Service. There was a tornado that hit this town on March 2,2012 and many homes and businesses were touched. MDS spent time early in the year doing clean-up and in November of 2012 we came in to help with the re-building phase. We are housed on the yard of the West Liberty Mennonite Church,

Our bunk trailer, and an RV for one long term couple are up near the church as well,

around back of the church, and down the hill is the house where the rest of the crew is staying, as well as where the cooking and eating take place.

The view from our dining room is out over the valley, and to the town. Apparently before the tornado, you could not see the town from here.

Kerry and the crew leaders talking over the day's strategy in the dining room.

Picking up breakfast. The third and second pictures from the end show the Project Director's suite that Kerry and I get to call ours till the middle of Feb. And the last picture shows the tailgate party we had on Saturday for lunch at the local park. Wouldn't do that at home in the beginning of Jan:)
